Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"S/O to Chef Scotley Innis, and partner Aliya, on this dope Caribbean-fusion bar concept, nestled in Williamsburg's Hotel Indigo. I have had great experiences at Aliya and hope to dine at Continent BK soon. The drinks are fun, festive and precursor to a great time! THE FOOD IS DIVINE. Make sure to order everything off the menu. Seriously, that's the only way to truly enjoy what Aliya has to offer! The ambiance is spectacular. The service is hospitable and engaging. The menu is a creative masterpiece. Perfect for date nights and intimate gatherings."
"Very grown and sexy spot! Perfect for a date night or catching up with friends! The prices are high but makes sense for the area and worth it. I would share plates and same different items! Next time I’ll come back to try the crispy rice which seems to be popular. Live music every Sunday at 7p and 8:45p! 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to visit the pool in the summer!"
"Spent some time by the pool and the food service menu is from the restaurant, Aliya. The Oxtail Tacos are definitely superb. I would order it again and again. Please Be Advised is DOES have some spice. If you do not take well to spice, I would skip this and get the fried rice. The Oxtail on both is very succulent and juicy. Full of flavor. The drinks are good. The Old Fashion, I'd give a 7/10. Same for the margarita. I'm also giving my advice from being poolside. They may make it differently for indoor dining, but I definitely plan on returning for the indoor dining experience"
"The food was good but the menu needs to have more variety of rice and mashed potatoes. Its sexy in the summer time on a sexy date though. The drinks are good but a bit pricey. I will be back in the spring. Dj Goldfinger is there there the first thursday of the month. He is good! The server was a bit slow but the busboy helped me get my condiments. I still tipped her good."
"Whether you’re looking for a sun-soaked summer vibe or a cozy family dinner, The continent AndAaliyah’s Cocktail Den delivers every single time. I’ve visited twice now, and both experiences were absolutely stellar. The Summer Vibe (August Visit) My first visit in August was all about the roof deck pool. Renting a cabana is a must—there’s nothing quite like having refreshing cocktails brought right to your seat while you soak up the sun. It felt like a true getaway right in the middle of Brooklyn. The Dining & Lounge Experience (October Visit) I returned in October with my family and we spent the evening in the downstairs restaurant. The food was simply delicious—every dish was a hit. I even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Scott Innis, the mastermind behind the menu. It was great to chat with the person responsible for such an incredible culinary experience. The Cocktails & Atmosphere After dinner, we headed upstairs to the cocktail den, and it was the perfect way to end the night: • The Vibe: Extremely relaxing and upscale, yet comfortable. • The Staff: Warm, welcoming, and attentive. • The Music: The DJ was on point, playing exactly the right tracks to keep the energy up without being overwhelming. Final Verdict: Aaliyah’s is a versatile spot that manages to be both a high-energy summer pool destination and a sophisticated, welcoming restaurant and lounge. I can’t recommend it enough!"
"It is located inside of Hotel Indigo Williamsburg... I chose this spot for a late bday meet-up on Sat at 530pm. Such a dope spot with the view of NYC near the pool. The food was flavorful and that oxtail fried rice!!!!!. The cocktails were AMAZING!!! We ordered a little of everything including desserts! Great for date night or girls night!"
"A rooftop on top of the INDIGO HOTEL in Williamsburg serving some delicious tapas with some really good and creative cocktails. On the weekends they got a DJ playing some good r&b music. The service was good and the place just had a cool, mature vibe."
"My girls and I came to Aliya last weekend for the first time had the BEST time! It’s the perfect summertime rooftop vibe! The vibes were great! The DJ was dope, it was super sunny (before it poured), we sat at a cute 4 seater table right by outside, but technically inside. It got great sunlight, our waitress was attentive and got us our drinks and meal quickly. We read the reviews and were nervous about the food, but we were all very pleased. We ordered the wings, plantain fries, jerked elote, and a salad. Everything was really good and came out pretty quickly. We also did drinks and we weren’t disappointed. They could of been a little stronger, but overall the taste was good. Always happy to support a super cute chic Black owned spot! Also, the decor was 10/10! My only complaint is they’re pretty strict on having a reservation, you can’t just be in the neighborhood and say oh let’s go here real quick. We’ll definitely be back!"
